We’re writing you to let you know that smart meters are coming to Enosburg! Beginning sometime in November 2025, Enosburg Electric will begin upgrading electric meters across town as part of a system-wide rollout of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI).
Why is Enosburg Upgrading Meters?
This is a broader effort by the Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA) and its member utilities to:
✅ Provide more accurate, real-time meter readings
✅ Eliminate estimated bills
✅ Respond faster during outages
✅Help you better understand and manage your energy use
What to Expect
You don’t need to be Most upgrades will happen with only a short disruption to power- roughly 15 to 30 minutes.
We will notify you before the Expect notices and a door hanger 2-3 days in advance.
Installers will be wearing Enosburg Electric uniforms and using Enosburg Electric vehicles.
Your Data is Safe
We’ve heard your questions about this, and we understand your concerns. Smart meters
do not collect any personal data, and your energy information is secure and encrypted. We’re committed to transparency and privacy at every step.

The Village of Enosburg Falls has contracted with New England Backflow to change all of the water meters in the Village starting the week of August 18th. Residents should have received a letter with their Village bills, this is legit and YOU NEED TO CALL NEW ENGLAND BACKFLOW to schedule an appointment at 866-632-1497 or 603-669-4004, choose extension 4. Incoming calls accepted Monday – Thursday 7:30AM – 2:45PM, Friday 7:30AM – 12:00PM

To make a payment by phone, please call 1-833-543-1124. You will need to set up a pin and know your TOTAL amount due on your account. Not sure what that amount is, please call us at the office 1-802-933-4443. *Please note – we will no longer process credit cards in the office, you must either call in or register above.
We still accept payment by mail or by dropping off a check, cash or money order at the office.

The Village of Enosburg Falls Board of Trustees meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month (holidays excluded).
